Hamlet, North Carolina Facility

Seaboard's Hamlet North Carolina railcar repair and cleaning facility is stratigically located contiguous to one of CSX's Largest Classification Yards. Over 2500 cars travel through this location each day!

This Seaboard facility is a rapid response tank and freight car repair and cleaning operation. We perform the following functions here:

Tank, Hopper, and Freight Car Repair and Cleaning
Class G Valve Maintenance
Light and Medium Repair Work
On-site Waste Water Treatment
Used Oil Recycling

This shop can currently store 30 railcars for cleaning and maintenance. Additional capacity to store 70 more cars is currently under construction. This additional trackage plus a comprehensive paint and lining will be operational in the 3rd quarter of 2005.
