Seaboard’s Hamlet facility is a rapid-response tank and freight car repair and cleaning operation located contiguous to the CSX hump yard in Hamlet, North Carolina. This facility receives cars daily from the New Orleans Gateway and the entire Eastern Seaboard. Over 2,500 cars travel through this location each day. The Hamlet facility can service 55-80 cars per month and store approximately 75 cars. The following functions are performed in the Hamlet facility:

Tank, hopper, and freight car repair and cleaning
Hopper and tankcar interior and exterior coatings
Class F & G valve maintenance
Light and medium repair work
On-site wastewater treatment
Used oil recycling
